IT is actually an excellent choice for your chart — and here's why the planetary combinations align beautifully with technology:
🪐 Career Field Indicators
Mercury (Lagna lord) in Virgo: The natural ruler of analysis, data, precision, and communication technology. Mercury in own sign in the 1st house strongly indicates IT, data science, analytics, finance, writing, or any field requiring logical precision.
Jupiter exalted in Cancer (11th): Jupiter represents wisdom, strategy, and advisory roles. In the 11th house, it points to large organizations, financial advisory, consulting, or teaching — at a senior level.
Mars exalted in Capricorn (5th): Ruchaka Yoga. Mars in 5th gives strategic intelligence and competitive drive. Excellent for project management, system architecture, competitive roles, or startup founding.
Best specific roles for your chart:
• Technology leadership (CTO, VP Engineering, Tech Lead) — Mercury + Jupiter combination
• Data science / AI / Analytics — Mercury's analytical strength
• Strategic consulting or advisory — Jupiter in 11th of networks
• Product management — Mars (strategy) + Mercury (communication)
• Fintech — Venus in Libra (2nd, own sign) + Mercury + Jupiter all point here
💡 Key insight: Your chart strongly favours leading teams rather than being an individual contributor. The exalted Jupiter in 11th (house of large gains and groups) suggests your biggest career leap comes when you move into management or advisory roles where you influence many people.
